UrbanEye Film Festival 2024

The 11th edition of the UrbanEye Film Festival will take place in Bucharest from November 6-10, in two central cultural venues in Bucharest: Cinema Elvire Popesco and ARCUB.

This year’s edition brings together a rich selection of films, accompanied by discussions stemming from them, as well as a series of related activities: guided tours and workshops for young audiences, including children and high school students.

The film selection for this year’s edition revolves around the theme of community and the common good, exploring topics ranging from a radiography of public spaces and their accessibility for people with special needs to an analysis of the internal dynamics of individuals and communities striving to improve shared living and harness collective energy.

Portrait films, whether focused on a character or a building with a unique history, a staple of every edition, are also featured in this year’s lineup. Additionally, a unique selection of archive films complements the five-day festival program.

The program includes films from France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Mexico, alongside Romanian productions. These films cover a wide range of themes, including ecology, social issues, and economics, offering an opportunity to reflect on similarities with the realities in Romania.
