Open call: Where to? UrbanEye Graphic Design Contest

General rules for the competition.

  1. General rules

The UrbanEye Film Festival invites the public to participate in a graphics competition in which the works seek an answer to the question: “What could your city look like in 10 years?”

The graphic style of the works is at the choice of the participants.

UrbanEye is a project of the ARTA Association in dialogue.

These Regulations are mandatory for all participants, being available online, on the website www.urbaneye.ro.

  1. Conditions of eligibility

Works can be entered into the competition by any natural person, independent professional or amateur creators or legal entity, as long as they are the right holders of the image.

An applicant can enter only one work in the competition.

To be accepted in the contest, the photo must meet the following conditions:

  • to respond to the theme of the contest
  • the graphic must fit within a maximum of 20x30cm (the graphic can contain an image and/or text).
  • have a monochrome or 2-color design
  • the design will be submitted in jpg format, min. 200 dpi, and the winner must submit the PSD / PDF / EPS / AI / TIFF version (with layers) between October 25-30
  • the work must be accompanied by a short description
  • to be publicly posted on the personal Facebook or Instagram page
  • the post must include the hashtags #urbaneye #concursurbaneye2023
  • the author will allow the work to be printed on physical promotional materials of the UrbanEye Film Festival
  • members and collaborators of “Arta in Dialog”, as well as their first-degree relatives, do not have the right to participate in the contest.
  1. Registration procedure

Enrollment in the contest is free and is done exclusively online by posting on your personal Facebook and Instagram page

  1. Selection procedure

Designation of the winning project will be determined by a vote of the UrbanEye team on October 25.

After the conclusion of the judging process, the winners of the four prizes will be announced by email and their works will be made public on the website communication platforms, the Facebook/Instagram page of the UrbanEye Film Festival.

The final decision is definitive and cannot be contested.

The winners of the 4 prizes will send the materials with a resolution of min. 200 dpi, to the address elvira@urbaneye.ro, until October 30, following confirmation from the UrbanEye team.

  1. The premiere

The creator of the best work will be awarded a prize worth 1,000 RON net and an UrbanEye general access tickets
3 other mentions will be awarded and each will win an UrbanEye Film Festival general access ticket (valid between 8-12 November 2023)

  1. Final Provisions

By registering in the contest, the following are assumed:

  • the participants give their consent in writing through the registration form to enter the judging stage and by this consent they understand that the organizer will publish the photo on its and partners’ channels.
  • by participating in this contest, each competitor guarantees the originality of his work and the fact that he owns the rights of use/copyright of any photo entered in the contest.
  • the organizer of the competition does not assume any responsibility regarding the originality of the participating works, including the one designated by the jury as the winner, this obligation falling exclusively to the care of the participants.
  • the organizer has the right to disqualify any Participant who does not respect the rules of the Contest or in respect of whom there are suspicions of fraud regarding this Contest.
  • the organizer has the right to modify the regulations at any time during the competition.
