10 Minutes’ Mayors. A part of Actopolis/Bucharest-South
Inhabitants of the Southern (the less privileged and known) part of Bucharest were invited to imagine that the area has become an independent city and that they were elected its mayors. They received a (mobile) office and some official insignia. The game turned into serious business when the mayors had to swear an oath and to assume visions and – more importantly – tough decisions.
The art project initiated by Goethe-Institut, Tranzit.ro and Zeppelin was conceived as an exercise in responsability and democratic urbanism. The film is dedicated to the complex, resilient and courageous communities from the hidden half of the city.
