Petrila Planet

In Petrila, a former mining city in Transilvania, an ex-miner now artist and activist uses art and absurdism to stop the local authorities from demolishing the historical buildings of the oldest mine in Romania. His purpose is not only to save the historical value and the identity of his hometown, but also to search for new methods to prevent the dissolution of the local comunity.

The film is followed by a Q&A session with architects Ina Stoian and Irina Iamandescu.
