Plan for Buenos Aires

Although Le Corbusier visited the Argentine capital once to give a series of lectures on modern architecture, the city would captivate him for the next two decades. Starting in 1929, the architect developed his modernist vision for the plan of the city of Buenos Aires, trying by all possible means to make it a reality. The documentary succeeds in revealing the extent of the political and cultural factors that made Le Corbusier’s dream for Buenos Aires only a project on paper.

This screening was made possible with the support of the Cervantes Institute of Bucharest.
