Where to with History?

A city with a troubled history, that is trying to rebuild what it lost in the bombings of the Second World War, Dresda is from 2015 the scene of a startling phenomenon: the members of the right wing movement Pegida are marching every Monday evening down the streets of the city. How much does the attempt to reproduce the lost architecture of 1945 contribute to this phenomenon? The film explores the city’s links with the past in an uncertain present.
